Detailed overview

Khilla Ghanpur/Fort Ghanpur is constructed in the heart of the Hills in Ghanapuram. The fort scattered across the rocky and hilly area of 4 sq. kilometres and there are fort buildings standing tall on the topmost part of the hills. The fort was built by Kakatiya King Gona Gana Reddy which is 26 kilometres away from Mahboobnagar. The name of Ghanapuram Khilla came to be known after the name of Kakatiya Ruler, Sri Ganapathi Deva.
The Fort was nicely and accurately fortified and to protect from the enemies the cannons were kept on the upper side of the fort. Inside the fort, one can see King's Palace and Ministers Houses. The Fort has witnessed many wars between Bahamanis, Vijayanagara Kings, Bijapur Kings and Qutb Shahi Kings. Ghanpur Cheruvu is a large beautiful lake which is just a little far from the fort. The Hills has an excellent huge formation of rocks that also form chimneys and caves to witness the gift of nature and man-made history. The Fort also consists of few ponds which can be used as water resources. The vegetation is mostly filled shrubbery with some beautiful occasional trees.

You would arrive at the Khilla Ghanpur at 4:00 PM.
Explore the hills of the Khilla Ghanpur between 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Start pitching your tents by 7:00 PM.
Have a wholesome dinner at 8:00 PM, both veg and non-veg options would be available.
You may call it a day at 10:00 PM.

Day 2: Sunday

On the second day, wake up to a sunny morning at 6:00 AM and get ready for some fun adventure activities.
Climb on the rocky terrains of Khilla Ghanpur between 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
You would start your journey to Hyderabad within 9:00 AM and arrive at Hyderabad by 12:00 PM.

A Rucksack/haversack, in other words, a bag you can put all your stuff in and hang on your back, try to keep the bag less than 5 kgs.

Walking /trekking /sport shoes.

1 track pants/ loose trousers - full length & a T-Shirt and other Toiletries needed.
