Trip Overview
Living up to the supreme title of “Valley of the Gods”, Kullu valley offers the adventure seekers and nature lovers in us, another awe-inspiring and a show-stopping trek to the “Holy Bhrighu Lake” at an altitude of 4,235 mts. Legend has it, Rishi Bhrighu meditated at Bhrighu Lake and wrote “Bhrighu Samhita” and hence the lake was so named. Natives believe that the Gods of the Kullu valley take a dip in this holy lake, most significant of them being Rishi Vashisht who traverses to the sacred lake at least once in 2 to3 year. Hence it is so revered by all.
Day 00 (Optional at extra cost)): Arrive in Manali – ‘dA Base’ – acclimatization hike – Himalayan village culture experience – angling/ziplining - Option to explore Manali
The participants will deboard the Bus at ‘Patlikuhl’, 14 kms short of New Manali Bus stand. From this pick-up point, the guests will be driven to our Base in Haripur, near Manali. After refreshments and breakfast hike 2 hrs to ‘the Kkoott’ - Himalayan Jungle Lodge in Soil, the oldest village of this valley. Unwind at Himalayan Jungle Retreat located in a massive orchard by the stream on the edge of the forest. After lunch explore surrounding or go angling if you like. Return back at base to chat with the team over bonfire and dinner. Next morning drive to the trek starting point.
Optionally, you can choose to explore Manali and visit Hadimba, Manau Temple, old Manali, solang valley etc.
*you can opt to stay at the Himalayan Jungle Lodge or a 3 star cottage instead of the base (choose from add ons)
Day 01: Manali – Kulang – Moridugh (3830 meters) (1.5 hour drive, 4 hour trek)
Participants are requested to assemble at the ‘Manali Chowk’ near the mall by 9:00 AM strictly. Once all participants arrive we’ll have briefing session. From here we’ll drive to the trek starting point, Kulang. Start walking from this point. The meandering trail through the village and forest will leave you with an unforgettable memory of open meadows and orchards. The view of the Kullu Valley from this trail is something worth seeing. The village trail from here all the way to Moridugh is well-defined.
See Mt. Hanuman Tibba towering over the meadows in the background. Below this mountain are the Seven Sister Peaks in the Beas Kund Valley. Reach Rola Kholi, a grazing ground used by local shepherds. Camp in the meadows and spend your night there.

Day 2: Moridugh – Brighu Lake (4300 meters) – Moridugh (6-8 hours trek)
Follow the snow-covered trail from Moridugh to Brighu Lake. Reach the lake, which is located beyond a ridge and on the foot of a snow-covered mountain. On a sunny day, the lake reflects psychedelic hues of blue. Spend some time exploring the lake and its surroundings before heading back.

Day 3: Moridugh – Kulang – Manali
Once you exit the forest ridge, treat yourself to a spectacular view of Kullu Valley with apple orchards that the Valley is famous for.
The trek ends on the road head in Kulang. Where waiting vehicle will drop participants to Manali.
After a refreshing hot sulphur bath at the hot springs one can go around exploring Manali. Shop for souvenirs and unwind at one of the many local cafes in Old Manali.

Food: refreshments, breakfast and pack lunch
OPTIONAL: Head back to DA Base - Mountaineerz in Haripur in the evening. Have dinner and spend your night there.Relax at the base camp or go Paragliding, Rafting or Angling (some nice spots near our base) the next day, before we part ways here to meet soon for our next adventure.

- Any expenses that arise due to change in itinerary and increase in no. of days because of natural forces like landslides, weather, roadblocks, flight cancellations, sickness etc.
- Cost of any optional activity we offer, like paragliding, angling, rafting etc.

Important Information
- Max. Altitude: 4270 Meters

- We suggest guests arrive at our base in Haripur, 14 kms from Manali on the Naggar road, the night before the start of the trek.
- All guests are welcome to stay at Mountaineerz Base in Haripur, Manali in rooms on sharing basis. Unwind, relax, go paragliding, rafting or angling and later interact with the team over BBQ and bonfire (**) before commencing the trek next morning and also on the day of return.
- Stay in Manali can be upgraded to 4-5* hotel/ cottage on prior notice. Stay and meals cost as applicable.
- If coming straight to our base in Haripur get down at Patlikuhl bus stand, 14 km short of New Manali bus stand.
- Wear shoes and clothes you are comfortable in and do not forget waterproof jackets and warm clothing.
- Soak up the atmosphere – close your eyes and take in the sights and sounds as you explore and observe.
- Do not litter the environment. Polythene and plastics are non-biodegradable and unhealthy for the environment and must not be littered or burned and should be carried back.

Our trip will start from the base camp in Haripur, 14 km short of Manali. If you are travelling by Volvo bus, you are requested to de-board at the Patlikuhal bus stand and we will receive you from there and drive you to the base camp

The water during the trip is fresh and it is recommended to carry your personal reusable water bottles and filters as well.
