Perched at an altitude of 7200 feet, Pahalgam is lustrous hill town in Jammu and Kashmir, the northern most state of India. Being a much famed tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir, Pahalgam sees heavy footfall of tourists every year. Nestled on the banks of gushing River Lidder, Pahalgam is 45 km from Anatanag, the District headquarter. However, there are few other restaurants which provide you with scrumptious Kashmiri cuisines. The food in Kashmir includes bread, roti, wazwan style foods like Rogan Josh, Tabak-Maz, and Gushtaba etc. Also you should try the Kashmiri Tea (Kahwa) which is best of its kind. Few of the restaurants are Nathu Rasoi, Hotel Paradise, Volga Restaurant, Trout Beat, etc.
Pahalgam Stalls offers woolen shawls, carpets handicrafts, etc. at reasonable rates. You can also purchase tea cozies, wall hangings, sculptures made up of Apple Tree wood and others from Main Bazaar of Pahalgam.
