The Takhat Shri Harimandirji Patna Sahib is a place of high religious importance to the Sikh community as it is the birthplace of the tenth Sikh guru, guru Gobind Singh ji. Positioned at the embankment of the holy River Ganga, Gurudwara was constructed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh during his reign from 1780 to 1839. The Gurudwara is considered one of the five scared thrones among the Sikhs. The Gurudwara houses a number of relics belonging to the tenth Sikh guru.
