Brief Itinerary:
Day 1 : Arrive in Sankri
Day 2 : Sankri (1920 M) - Taluka (2107 M) 12 Kms by Road & Trek from Taluka - Seema (2560 M), 17 km (6-7 Hours)
Day 03 : Seema Camp (2560 M) to Rainbasera (3086 M) - 9 km trek (4 hours)
Day 04 : Rainbasera (3086 M) to Ruinsara Tal (3565 M) – 7.5 km (4 hours)
Day 05 : Ruinsara Tal (3565 M) to Odari (4008 M) - 4 km (3 hours)
Day 06 : Odari (4008 M) to Base Camp (4678 M) - 3.25 km trek (3 hours)
Day 07 : Base Camp (4678 M) to Lower Dhamni (3415 M) via Bali Pass (4950 M) - 10 km (8-10 hours)
Day 08: Lower Dhamni (3415 M) to Jaan ki Chatti (2650 M) via Yamunotri - 9.5 km trek

Only BSNL network is available at Sankri and further from it there are no networks. After you cross the pass, you can get weak networks of Vodafone and BSNL at Lower Dhamni. All networks are available at Janki Chatti.
How To Reach Sankri From Dehradun
Sankri can be reached either by private taxi or bus. Buses to Sankri run daily at 6 AM that take around 8-10 hours to reach there. Shared jeeps are also available from outside the bus stand and railway station. The road to Sankri goes through Naugaon, Purola, Mori, Netwada and Govind Pashu national park. The drive is along the Tons river, which is formed by confluence of two rivers - Rupin and Supin. The road upto Netwad is good but after the checkpost it gets bad.
How To Reach Dehradun From Janki Chatti
Janki Chaati is situated 5 km down from Yamunotri. There are two buses that leave at 5 and 6 AM and go directly to Dehradun. One can also opt for private taxi or shared one. The road from Janki Chatti passes through Hanuman Chatti, Barkot, Naugaon and Nainbagh.
