About Bhavani Island
Inspite of being famed for pilgrim center and monument, Vijayawada also entertains the adventure lovers in the form of “Bhavani Island”. A wonderful estuary on the River Krishna, Bhavani Island is currently transformed into an amazing tourism spot which is suitable for picnicking, water sports, boating etc. The ferry facility of Andhra Tourism Development Corporation is available from Durga Ghat up till the Island. One can come across many resorts on this Island which spreads across 130 acres of land amidst of River Krishna.
