About Pakhal Lake and Wildlife Sanctuary

Pakhal Lake was established by King Ganapathi Deva of Kakatiya Dynasty. Dating back to 12th century, the lake sprawls around 30 square kilometers. The lake is nestled between Pakhal Wildlife Sanctuary and enthralling forest hillock. On one shore of the Lake you see the Pakhal Wildlife Sanctuary where tiger, leopard, Deer roams freely in wild. The sanctuary is thick vegetation which serves as a shelter for wide variety of fauna. One should not miss this wild retreat located closer to Warangal.
