The Phulwari Sharif has strings attached to the Sufi culture. The Phulwari Sharif is a hub of religious, cultural and social activities for Sufis. Pir Mujib discovered the tourist destination in the 18th century. The great Mughal emperor, Humayan had built a beautiful red sandstone mosque at the Sharif. The mosque is known as Sangi Masjid and bears the relics of the architectural past. The tourist spot also houses a madrasa, which believes in imparting knowledge among the deprived classes.
