Yarada Beach , Visakhapatnam
About Yarada Beach
Located about 15 kilometers from the city of Visakhapatnam, Yarada Beach is a well-kept local secret, surrounded by rocky hills. It is not crowded and best suited for small groups' half day outing in a very secluded and natural environment at this beach. Going into water is not advised here, as the water is quite polluted with industrial waste. If your luck favors, you can see the multicolor crabs climbing up the rocks.
Yarada beach is perhaps one of the cleanliest and safest beaches in Vizag region or even India right now. The entire area is covered with hundreds of banana and coconut plantations. There isn’t much of an infrastructure development in this area excepting some property that is being developed by a private party,
Agrigold, which had taken a part of the beach on lease from the Government and done some landscaping and developed a garden inside. Agrigold collects a fee of Rupees 30 to enter their property and access the shops and a restaurant there.
Yarada Beach is located near Gangavaram Port. Gangavaram beach and Dolphin's Nose are not far from here. Yarada Beach is actually safer to swim in compared to Rishi Konda beach. Drive to Yarada beach through the hills overlooking the sea is a good experience.
To get to this beach, one could use the bus facility available or alternatively one could also hire a cab to get here. Unfortunately, except for the occasional RTC bus, there is no alternative cheap public transport available.
