About Nanguneri
Nanguneri is located 29 km from Thirunelveli is famous for the Vaishnavite temple commonly known as Totadri Mutt dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This temple is one of the eight Swayamvyaktha Kshtrams. Nanguneri is also famous for the birth place of Sri Devi who was Vishnu’s companion, thus the temple has an idol of Lord Vishnu with both his consorts, Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi which is worshipped by thousands of Vaishnavites. The temple complex has an “Ennai Kinaru” which is an oil well and has been associated to cure many diseases.
