Shri Pratap Singh Museum , Srinagar
About Shri Pratap Singh Museum
Founded in 1898 by the states leader and administrator, Maharaja Pratap Singh. The site is now a site of special scientific interest by the UNESCO. Initially a collection of clothing and period household items, the museum grew substantially through acquiring excavation and archeological items, and relics from the various military struggles. Numismatics and manuscripts, miniature paintings, weapons and utensils, musical instruments, furniture and decorative items, textiles and carpets, items of leather, grass and Willow work amongst a number of other naturalized Kashmir items and relics.
