About Vansda National Park
Vansada National Park is located in Surat's neighboring state of Navsari, about 120 kms from Surat airport. Private vehicles and public buses can take you to the national park from Surat, Bilimora and Valsad. Vansada was deemed as a National Park in 1979 and is dense with bamboos (called vansada in the local language). Spread over an area of 24 square kms, the park is not huge but still is home to leopards, hyena, jungle cats, macaque, deers, flying squirrel, pangolin, among others. Plenty of reptiles including pythons and about 30 species of snake as well as birds and diverse vegetation is found in the park. Visit during the months of September to December and enjoy this park.
