The Dronagiri Temple or the Doonagiri Temple is 15 kilometres far from Dwarahat. One can reach the temple by climbing about 400 steps. The temple provides a lovely view of the hills around and is situated at the site where as per the Hindu mythology the Sanjivini herb meant for Lakshman is believed to have fallen down, while it was being carried by Lord Hanuman. The Doonagiri temple was built in the honour of goddess Vaishnavi. The bronze plate inside the temple is believed to be as old as 1181 A.D. Standing majestically on a hilltop, the temple attracts a large number of pilgrims every year.
