About Zong Dong Palri Fo-Brang Monastery
Zong Dong Palri Fo-Brang Monastery has been constructed by Dalai Lama in 1976 and is in Durpin Dara and is also known as Durpin Dara Monastery. One can get a birds-eye view of the town from this place. This Monastery has 108 volumes of Kanguyar, which was bought along by Dalai Lama when he escaped from Tibet. The monastery is situated at a height of 1370 mts on the top of Durpin hill; from here, a spectacular view of the Mount Kanchenjunga can be seen.
