Daksum is a beautiful picnic spot is located about 40 kms from Anantnag and 85 kms from Srinagar, at an altitude of more than 2400 mts above sea level. It is also a popular trekking destination and has numerous streams, lush green grasslands and forested mountains. Consider taking the trail that leads to Sinthan Pass and Sinthan Top. Just couple hours’ drive from Srinagar, Daksum has bungalows & huts as accommodation option. It is another less known destination and a walker's paradise giving tourists’ an experience of solitude, fresh air and amazing views of forest & snow covered mountains.
