About Ramakrishna Math,Lucknow
Ramakrishna Math in Lucknow is a branch of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur. The Math or the mission consists of idols of Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Holy Mother Sarada Devi.
Building made up of marble depicts various architectural styles such as Jains, Mughals, Chalukyas and Pallavas. Walls of the math depict carved lotus, tridents, swans and other markings. Math was established with the mission of promoting cultural and spiritual teachings of Sri Ramakrishna. Every week discourses from the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda is held in morning and evenings. Srimad Bhagavad Gita sessions are also held every week.
