About Tippu Sultan’s Palace
Originally started by Hyder Ali and completed by Tippu Sultan, this 17th century palace was the once favored summer retreat of Tippu Sultan. A finely carved wooden structure, this two storied building now serves as a museum. A wooden relic in this palace refers to this palace as the “Abode of happiness”. The palace is fringed with manicured gardens and pathways and must have been a nice setup for a royal summer retreat.
