Museum of Sherpa Life, Namche Bazaar Information | Photos | Location

The Sherpa Culture Museum is situated above the village and gives an excellent view into the lives of the people around you. It has samples of a Sherpa house, with a family living room and an extra chapel. They’ve neatly shown every detail and every lost culture the Sherpa’s did follow back in time.  What a normal Sherpa house would have, their utensils, there ways of arranging the atmosphere etc. it gives you some good knowledge about the Sherpa’s and their communities. If you are a climber and are going forward from there a specific portion that’ll interest you the most would be the one which shows and demonstrates the age old techniques of climbing used years back when it actually started. They’ve shown the different types of gears and the different methods that have changed a certain dimension of mountaineering by the passing of time.
