Detailed Overview

Experience Biking through small fishermen villages and lush coconut trees. Immerse yourself in the beautiful Backwaters sceneries. Drive from Cochin will bring you to the fishermen’s beach where you witness the live action of boatmen bringing in their fresh catch of fishes for auction. Enroute visit coir yarning and mat weaving units. Later continue your drive to reach the beautiful farmhouse set by the backwater.  Breakfast will be served which will energize you for your cycling tour. Interact with the family and exchange experiences with a brief introduction to some of the heritage relics available in the house. You start pedalling for 2 km where you come to the ferry which will be crossing you and your cycle to the other bank of the river. Continue cycling for another 4 km to reach the fish market. Our tour host will explain the life and activities around the market. This gives you an insight into how well the economy is balanced among the communities. You cycle again for the next stretch of 7 km back to the farmhouse.

• Report at Chellanam Harbour at 7:00 am & meet your guide.
• Cycling through the villages & witness the fisherman's new catch.
• Witness the art of coir yarning & doormat weaving.
• Ride to a farmhouse where breakfast will be served.
• Interact with the local family & understand the lifestyle.
• Ride 2 km & reach boat jetty point.
• The ferry will take you across the river.
• Ride again 4 km & witness the fish market.
• Ride back 7 km & reach a farmhouse & the tour ends here.
