Sri Pajaka Kshetra, a little village, is a sacred place where Sri Madhwacharya was born and bought up. Pajaka village is located closer to Kunjarugiri Devi temple. There is also a temple for Lord Parashurama in this village. Tourists must visit the temple complex. Inside this complex the house where Sri Madhwacharya was born and bought up is well maintained so that the devotees can have a look at the evidences which says the saint lived in this village. Visitors can also see foot impression of the saint nearby the house. An idol of the saint is installed in the house and prayers are conducted. Nearby the house, there is a building named Madhva Mandira where various religious rituals are conducted. One can also see many students learn and practice Sanskrit and Vedas in this Mandira. Currently the temple complex in Sri Pajaka Kshetra was maintained by Shri Kaniyooru Matha, one among the Ashta Matha established by Sri Madhwacharya.
