Mukurthi National Park is a rolling grassland that has a reputation of being completely untouched. Interspersed with bubbling brooks, and mixed forest, the area has the local name of ‘Sholas’. The ridges of the park offer particularly good views toward the Amarambalam forest below. This National park is the home of the famous Nilgiri Thar. The interesting feature of this park is its flora and fauna that has a striking similarity with the Himalayan flora and fauna.
