About Ooty Lake
The jewel of the city is this ‘L’ shaped tranquil lake that is nestled between the prickly tipped eucalyptus forests and green mountains. This vast and beautiful lake fringed by the Lake road and walkers path encompassed by a lazy gaze and the dewy fresh breeze is a wonderful evening spot. Kids love to go on horseback rides and to race against themselves in rented bicycles in this road. This lake with its green surroundings that are often filled with the fingers of mist is just perfect for boating and if you come in the right time (summer) you may even witness the more famous boat race and duck catching races.
