About Janki Chatti
Janki Chatti located at a height of 2650m is famous for the hot water springs. This place is the last village while travelling for Yamunotri Pilgrimage. Janki Chatti acts as a base camp for Yamunotri trek. Ponies can also be availed from here. Janki Chatti is connected by a state of art motor able road to Hanuman Chatti and is the recouping centre for the voyage onward. Till some time ago trek for Yamunotri used to start at Hanuman Chatti but now people can travel up to Janki Chatti using jeeps. Janki Chatti is about 7 KMs from Hanuman Chatti. There are only basic amenities at this place and trekkers could but essential things like raincoats and walking pole from Janki Chatti.
