About Begambar Big Mosque
Begambar mosque is not only big, it is also a mosque with a history. It is three hundred years old. Ammer-un-Nisha Begum, the younger sister of Hyder Ali, was buried here. The mosque was named after the eponymous royal lady, Begambar. Fridays are a good day to visit the mosque, visitors can also go to Dindigul Rock Fort which is not far from here.
