About Kamleshwar Dam
The Kamleshwar Dam falls inside Gir National Park. The main reason it was constructed was to create a reservoir, and the view is pretty good. You needn’t go out of your way to see this dam. In your tour inside the National Park, you will be shown where it is and also pointed out that the construction was completed in the year 1959 and that the dam is made on the Hiran River. You get to see a lot of birds of various breeds here and also crocodiles, antelopes, deer’s and so on.
