The Singur Dam resides across Manjeera River in Sangareddy, Medak District of Telagana and was built with a sole purpose of providing water to the city of Hyderabad. The dam started to function in 1998 after 10 extensive years of construction. It is a well known tourist attraction of Hyderabad due to its design and enormity, also there are plenty of crocodiles inhabiting the waters. The surroundings of the dam offer the visitors with scenic backgrounds and serene atmosphere. Tourists can also enjoy boating in the river as well as have rare encounters with birds like peacocks in the vicinity.
