★★★★★ I recently completed my first trek with Aquaterra Adventures (ATA), and the experience surpassed every expectation. It was a fairly challenging trail in the Uttarakhand hills - remote terrain, thin air, and a real test of physical and mental readiness. What made it all work - what turned it into something meaningful rather than just difficult - was the way ATA runs the show. The team was outstanding. Every single person on the trail - guides, porters, kitchen crew, camp support - brought a rare mix of professionalism, warmth, and intuitive care. They struck the perfect balance between giving you space and watching out for you. You felt looked after without ever being coddled. There were a couple of participants in our group who were undertaking their maiden trek - first time camping, first time pushing their limits in this way. It was heartening to see how the ATA crew stayed patient and supportive, helping them ease into the rhythm of the outdoors without ever making it feel like a big deal. Everyone felt included, encouraged, and capable. ATA isn’t just a logistics outfit. It’s clear that what they’ve built is something far more thoughtful. They know the terrain, but more importantly, they understand people - how to help them experience the Himalayas in a way that’s safe, soulful, and deeply rewarding. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for an experience that goes beyond just ticking off a bucket list. You’ll return tired, a little dusty, and wildly grateful. I certainly did.
★★★★★ What a well-run operation! This rafting trip exceeded all expectations—every part of the experience was seamless, safe, and incredibly well organized. From start to finish, the team made us feel confident and well taken care of. Rana, the head kayaker, was a total pro—calm, skilled, and clearly experienced. Vikas and Vikaa were also excellent throughout the trip, striking a perfect balance between professionalism and fun. The safety kayakers were sharp and attentive, and the entire crew worked together flawlessly. If I could call out every one of them by name, I would—they truly made the experience special. The kitchen team deserves a big shoutout too—the food was fresh, flavorful, and way better than you’d expect out on the river. Every meal was a highlight. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this trip. It meant a lot to me personally, and I can’t thank the team enough for how thoughtful and dialed-in everything was. A beautiful river and Ranaji took us in the most gorgeous settings of the Rainforest. From safety to food to logistics everything was all top notch. ★★★★★ I’d been on several day hikes but never an extended trek and I’m told I was very lucky to have experienced my first one with Aquaterra on their Tosamaidan, July 2023 trip. However, I don’t feel lucky. I feel blessed, enlightened, and changed in a fundamental way. The location was breathtaking and my lack of experience didn’t get in the way for even a moment thanks to Aquaterra’s attentive, professional, and considerate guides that magically appeared to lend a hand whenever I needed one. The overnight campsites, thoughtfully selected and absolutely stunning, immediately felt like home with delicious meals and snacks, comfortably padded tents, and surprisingly clean toilet tents (with toilet paper! 😱) Best of all was the company - some fabulous and likeminded trekkers from across age groups, who quickly felt like forever friends. After 5 days of being regaled by the majesty of the King of Meadows, we ended our trip with a spot of shopping (no idea where we got the energy from!) and a night’s stay on a houseboat in Srinagar. Honestly, it was more than I could have ever expected. And it’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. ❤️🏔️
