Thenmala is a government sponsored eco-tourism destination. It combines all kinds of activities. Mountain biking, Rock climbing and River crossing with serene walkways and a butterfly garden. Nearby there is a deer rehabilitation center where a tree-house stay can be arranged.
Thenmala is the first ever eco tourism destination which is 72kms from Thiruvananthapuram, in the District of Kollam. Co- located with the Shenduruney Wildlife Sanctuary at the foothills of the Western Ghats every visitor is guided through by a guide provided by the authorities. Check out the three zones of Culture, leisure and adventure. Check out the Deer rehabilitation center at the Shenduruney Wildlife Sanctuary as well as the magnificent Palaruvi waterfalls while getting refreshed in the surroundings.
