Harsil, in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, is a hidden jewel in the Himalayas. If you are looking for a retreat where you can lose yourself in peace and serenity, this is the place to be. Situated on the banks of Bhagirathi, on the way to Gangotri, Harsil offers a very serene environment with gushing waters of the Bhagirathi, chirping birds and dense forests.
