About

About 36 kilometers east of Jog Falls and 8 KMs from Sagar town, on Sorab road quietly sits the temple town of Keladi.

17th Century Rameshwara Temple is a beautifully carved and sculpted temple built in Hoysala-Dravida, Kadamba and Vijayanagaran style of architecture and is another historical and religious attraction that is popular to the visitors in the area.

From outside it looks like a Karnataka style residence with a Mangalore tiled roof building. Inside the temple complex one finds magnificent ancient structure. Rameshwara Temple Complex houses three temples of Rameshwara (Lord Shiva), Veerabhadreshwara (warrior form of Lord Shiva) and Parvati Devi (consort of Lord Shiva).

A museum is situated outside the Keladi Rameswara temple which remains open from 10 to 5 PM on working days.
