About Schwartz Church
In order to honor a Danish Missionary Rev.Frederick Christian Schwartz, King Serfoji built this Church. The church dates back to 17th century. The church is located on the outskirts of Thanjavur. Tourists can see a white Marble structure with intricate carvings. These carvings depicts the final moment of Rev.Schwartz with the King and his ministers. The church is located within the palace garden.
