About Azhiyar Dam
Set into the foothills of Valparai, this is a good stop off point for those visiting the hill station. There is a park, garden, aquarium and a mini theme park. The reservoir itself forms a beautiful lake set against the hills. On a clear day, the sun spangles off the water and rests in the green trees on the hills. Clouds drift against the brilliant blue of the sky; in good weather, the park makes a relaxing visit. There are fish in the water and boating is available.
