About Dhamapur Lake
The Dhamapur Lake is an artificial one and had been built in 1560. Vijaynagar vassal Nagesh Desai built it. On the western coast of the lake, the Forest dept. runs a tent resort. You can enjoy the spectacular sight of a variety of birds, namely the Malabar Pined Hornbill, cormorants and various varieties of kingfishers.
