Chauli ki Jaali is a place which offers splendid view of the Kumaon Valley. It is from here that once can see the vast valleys, eagles flying and swooping down on their preys. Situated near the Shiva Temple of Mukteshwar, Chauli ki Jaali also holds religious significance. The lattice structure of the rocks and the hole(Jaali) in the rock(Chauli) are said to have been formed when Lord Shiva blessed a Guru of a group of devotees while they were on their way to Kailash Mansarovar. It is also said that the women who could not conceive are blessed with a child when they cross the hole in the rock here.
