About Doddahotrangappa Hill
“A blessing is a blessing only when it is earned with sweat.” - Around Chitradurg district is Doddahotrangappa Hill. Famous among trekking enthusiasts and Lord Ranganatha devotees, the hill has all the serenity and divinity to offer. Set off early in the morning, preferably in the months between September to February. The site is a delight with lush greens and rustic “panth”. At the peak of the steep sloped hill is a Lord Ranganatha Temple. The silence of this temple is as loud as its temple bell that fills up the place when rung.
How to get there? Chitradurga to Lokadalalu via Holalkere, by bus or private vehicle. This is a must-do trek when in Karnataka for nature and photography enthusiasts.
