About The Mall
A relaxing walk in this stretch of road is a delight for all. Being the center of the city, this bustling road is filled with shops, colonial houses and picnic spots that make the short walk memorable and pleasurable. There is an interesting history behind this road which is wonderfully paved and dotted with elegant lamp posts and benches. During the British period it is said that Indians and dogs were not allowed to use this road. Motilal Nehru who was rebellious enough to break the law would often be seen crossing the road when he was in Missouri and would later pay the penalty.
