About Sas-bahu Temple, Gwalior
Saas-Bahu Temple or Sahastra Bahu Temple is two temples side by side belonging to 9th century and constructed by King Mahipala. Saas-bahu Temple is also located inside the Gwalior Fort complex. The bigger temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Shashtra Bahu) while the other one is desiccated to Lord Shiva. Both temples are covered with beautiful carvings and have an exceptional architecture. Visitors can see a grand lotus carving along roof of entrance. Both the temples are now empty.
