About Railway Heritage Centre
Railway Heritage center is situated next to community hall of the Tiruchirapalli Junction. Being a part of erstwhile Southern Railway, this center serves as a museum as well as a heritage center. There are both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Old documents, photographs, railway manuals, books which belongs to British Raj, maps, staff badges, old station lamps made up of “China Glass” etc. are displayed in indoor gallery. Vintage locomotives and toy train in working conditions are exhibited in the outdoor.
