Surkanda Devi temple, at 2757m, is just a 2 KM trek to the top from the village of Kaddukhal on the Chamba and Dhanaulti road. It is surrounded by a dense forest. It is situated close to a small hamlet Dhanaulti, in the Tehri district. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. The maximum rush of devotees is seen in June when a local festival fair is organized.
