About Little Adam's Peak, Ella
The southern part of Sri Lanka is crowned with many hill stations and scenic beauty. One such hill-station is named Ella. Ella has few activities to offer, but all of them are the top most visited sites by the travellers. Little Adam’s Rock, which is named after its brother Adam's Rock due to its similarity in shape, offers gorgeous scenery and people from all walks of life visit this place. Little Adam’s Rock is 1141 meters high, approximately half of Adam’s Rock height (2243m).
The trekking to this little peak is not at all strenuous when compared with Adam’s Rock and takes usually 45 minutes to reach the summit. It is highly recommended to make the ascent through the labyrinthine paths in the early mornings to be rewarded the breath-taking vistas of the sun rising behind mountains enrobed in greenery. It is a great place to meditate and unwind. On the ways can be enjoyed the sweeping beauty of tea plantations.
