About Bharat Mandir
Aadi Guru Shankaracharya founded this ancient temple in 12th century. Tourists who are interested in ancient temples and its historical background can visit this place. Main Deity in this temple is the Statue of Lord Vishnu, made upon of single piece of Saligramam. The inner canopy of temple houses the “Shree Yantra”. As per the mythology, the temple was destructed by Tamur in ancient times and the current shrine is the renovated form of ruins. Many old statues, Ancient coins, Ancient pots etc are excavated from this Shrine recently.
