About Kalatop
Kalatop wild life reserve stretches between Dalhousie and Chamba sweeping across Lakarmandi, Kalatop, Dainkund and Khajjiar on the way. Ascending from a height of 2440m, the sanctuary has a beautiful terrain, typical of outer Himalayas. A long level walk from Dalhousie to Khajjiar gives us the best of panoramic vistas this wonderful place have in store for us. The flora and fauna of the region is best appreciated by walk rather than drive. The lonely path often treading into the dense woods of pines and cedars livened by the singing birds, is a trek worth taking and will remain a favorite for regular trekkers and honeymooners.
